Wild Horse Ranch
The Wild Horse Ranch is the oldest guest ranch in the State of Arizona. Geronimo used to roam the high hills directly behind the ranch during his fierce resistance. The ranch was a base camp for the gold and silver miners teeming over the Tucon Mountain Range. It held the last squatter’s rights in Arizona, and still boasts an as yet undiscovered hoard of bullion, stolent from one of the passing stagecoaches.

The present ranch was built in the 1890’s by the Yaqui Indians, using adobe mud, straw and rocks. Originally named Eureka Ranch, the ranch was host to some of the great western film stars including “The Duke” John Wayne, Gary Cooper, and James Stewart to name a few.
